RESEARCH GOVERNANCE

Editorial standards

Every page must earn the right to exist.

E2M Research does not publish to fill a calendar or multiply keywords. A research page is published only when it answers a distinct decision, adds material value beyond existing coverage and can be maintained.

Publication standard

The publication gate

A proposed page should reach at least 85/100 on decision value, originality, evidence quality, usefulness, maintainability and architecture fit — and have no hard fail.

Hard fails

  • Duplicates an existing canonical intent without a materially different job to be done.
  • Makes consequential factual claims that cannot be supported or clearly labeled.
  • Uses synthetic examples, estimates or AI-generated text as if they were observed facts.
  • Has no accountable owner or update path for time-sensitive material.
  • Exists mainly to capture a keyword rather than solve a real executive question.

Required before publication

  • Direct answer near the top for the primary decision.
  • Executive summary of the implications, not a generic introduction.
  • Methodology or source note where numbers or comparisons materially affect the answer.
  • Clear distinction among facts, benchmarks, estimates, scenarios and observations.
  • Named reviewer identification only when the completed review meets the E2M Expert Review Network standard; partial review must disclose its scope.
  • Published/updated date and an explicit maintenance path.
  • Contextual internal links to the canonical hub, adjacent evidence and execution only where relevant.
  • CTA may exist, but must not distort the research conclusion.

Authors & editorial responsibility

E2M currently publishes its institutional author and internal editorial owner. Named external expert reviewers appear only after onboarding and a completed scoped review; no external reviewer is implied by an empty seat in the network.

Integrity controls

Authorship, AI, correction and localization

E2M Research does not publish to fill a calendar or multiply keywords. A research page is published only when it answers a distinct decision, adds material value beyond existing coverage and can be maintained.

AI

AI is not evidence

AI may support discovery, translation, structuring, drafting and QA. It is never itself evidence. Material claims must resolve to inspectable sources or clearly labeled E2M methodology.

Corrections

Material changes leave a trace

Material corrections should update the page date and, where the conclusion changes, the version or methodology note. Quietly changing a benchmark without traceability is not acceptable.

Localization

English-first, selectively localized

English is the source layer for international search. New pages are adapted into PT-BR, ES or Simplified Chinese only when demand, commercial value, execution need or distribution justifies the maintenance burden. Existing quality translations stay live.

Video research standard

E2M videos inherit the source, review and evidence boundaries of their companion research page. Planned videos are never marked up as published VideoObject entities. Each published episode must have one canonical companion URL, a source list, useful chapters, an edited transcript after publication and one primary next action.

Freshness & change monitor

Source verification dates, refresh cadence and downstream evidence dependencies are tracked separately from publication dates.

Taxonomy & consolidation

Each indexable URL must own one primary user intent and one primary place in the research architecture. Utility views stay out of the indexable corpus; overlapping topics are cross-linked rather than duplicated. E2M creates a new hub only when a distinct decision domain has enough canonical depth to justify one, and consolidates first when an existing page can satisfy the same intent.

Image SEO & accessibility

Editorial images must use descriptive filenames, contextual alt text, intrinsic width/height, efficient formats, and nearby explanatory context. Decorative images use empty alt text. Research visuals require source, period and methodology; local São Paulo photography must describe the place shown, not a nearby district. Use responsive srcset for raster photography and keep a crawlable src fallback. Strategic images are listed in the image sitemap. Do not add stock imagery only to target image search.
